The Families First Coronavirus Response Act and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act have taken effect and now require health insurance carriers to cover FDA over-the-counter COVID-19 tests, with or without an order or individualized clinical assessment. Also, health insurance carriers must include and display information concerning the coverage of over-the-counter COVID-19 tests on their website.
