2009 | The Basement of 162 Marion Ct, Lakewood
Mark Herschlag founded Cosmo Insurance Agency in 2009. Coming from an extensive background in the insurance field, he realized that there was a huge demand for affordable insurance plans for businesses. There were too many businesses paying high rates for unnecessary services and benefits. He began to work together with businesses to find a plan that fits their employees’ needs without compromising on the quality and scope of the coverage.
2010 | 216 River Ave, Lakewood
Initially, Cosmo Insurance Agency only offered health insurance plans to local businesses, but slowly began to branch out to other insurance fields, including life, disability, and health insurance for individuals. Cosmo also opened an advocacy department. Cosmo’s team began to grow from a one-man show, to one part-time employee, and then to several full-time staff members.
2013 | 410 Monmouth Ave, Lakewood
Originally, we only worked with clients situated in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, but we then began to expand and insure companies throughout the country to accommodate employees that work in other states.
2015 | 15 America Avenue, Lakewood
Cosmo hired additional representatives to cover our high demand. We set up departments such as claims, renewals, enrollments, and individuals. We began offering PEO to accommodate the latest trends in employee benefits. To counteract that, Cosmo also opened up an ancillary department to mimic the umbrella structure when choosing to stay with the open market.
2019 | 211 Blvd Of The Americas, Lakewood
Cosmo Insurance Agency has 11 full-time employees and is continuously hiring to ensure our quick response time and to enable our agency to offer an exclusive representative to large groups. Cosmo has gone green, with paperless enrollments and renewals. We have thousands of clients in both the corporate and private sector and continue to grow and save our clients money.
