Governor Phil Murphy held a COVID-19 briefing on November 9th to announce new indoor dining restrictions.
New Jersey restaurants, bars, clubs, and lounges must close indoor dining by 10 p.m. in response to the rise in COVID-19 cases. This will go into effect starting Thursday, November 12.
“We’re taking steps today to mitigate the current increasing rate of spread,” Governor Murphy shared on Twitter. “We MUST shake off pandemic fatigue & get back into the mindset that saw us crush the curve this spring.”
Outdoor dining, takeout, and delivery services may continue past 10 pm., however, all barside seating will be prohibited for the immediate future.
