Today’s Obese Children vs Future Obese Children

You have got to chuckle when you read the article on CNN discussing how overweight children today are bullied by their pairs. The term Frenemies refers to children or people whom the obese child considers someone s/he thought cared about her as a friend, but is in essence an enemy as they chant negative comments behind his or her back. The jokes not at the obese children- GOD forbid. The joke is on us! As researchers in behavior and norms of society suggest that children will be chastised as long as obesity is not the norm. At the rate we’re going, unfortunately, due to fast food and technology (video games and electric scooters), obesity will become the accepted norm sooner than we could hope for.

Train your children of tomorrow’s future to eat healthy, to set a good example for people who don’t, and to accept and acknowledge to challenge of their obese pairs.
