Yesterday, Cosmo Insurance Agency held its holiday party at Estreia. The team had an amazing time eating,
learning more about each other, and playing games. Celebrating together is a great opportunity for our employees to get to
know one another. Often times at the office, employees only get to interact with others within their department. Employee
bonding in a social context is a key element of team building, which is necessary to produce the best results. And regardless
the bottom line is that it’s just fun to get to know new people, especially in such a festive setting!
The team provides exceptional service all year for insurance needs including: business health, life insurance,
long term care and ancillary benefits. Last week was the end of Open Enrollment, a tumultuous time in the healthcare field.
For us, it was a very hectic time where we had hundreds of clients calling and coming in to sign up for health insurance. The deadline
was earlier this year, meaning people were scrambling to sing up for health insurance. Our team was taking hundreds of calls a day.
Each team member answered client’s questions with ease and patience. What makes Cosmo Insurance unique is that each employee provides
clients with insurance plans that they truly believe is the best fit for each person. Most of the team worked late hours every single night
during open enrollment.
Mark, founder of Cosmo Insurance Agency, shared how proud and appreciative he was of his team. He said, “It feels great to have
a group of people who work together as a team. I am so appreciative of all the effort and hard work of everyone at Cosmo Insurance Agency.
Every single person has their own unique fit here.”
We enjoyed delicious food like steak, beef Carpaccio, salad, and bread. We played a game where each of us pulled out a present with
a description/compliment of one of our team members and we had to guess which team member it was. It was a fun way to acknowledge each person’s unique position at Cosmo Insurance Agency. Some descriptions included “A patient worker who handles every situation calmly and professionally.”, “Got hired during a hectic time, but handled it with ease.” Mark and Connie were kind enough to get each person a special gift. Some examples of the gifts were: a book for one of our employees child, chocolate, spa treatments, and vodka for special occasions. That was a gratifying way of showing how appreciative they were of the staff.
The holiday party was a night to celebrate our hard work all year. It was a perfect way to show appreciation for the team. It is important to make time to connect with each other and show gratitude. Happy holidays from the Cosmo Insurance Agency team!
