Data from the FluView, the Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), showed that the influenza B strain was extremely active in the last week of March.
This does necessarily mean that it will spread quickly or stick around longer. The key to preventing sickness is to follow steps to ensure that you and your home is clean and sanitary.

Getting the flu shot – It is never too late to get the flu shot. Get one now to ensure that you will be protected from the flu strain.
Wash your hands frequently – This one is a no brainer.
Clean your home and object around you – Make sure you are cleaning your house frequently. Wipe down your counter tops, bathroom, anything that comes in contact with a person.
Staying home if you are sick: This prevents spreading of the flu throughout the office.
