Toothpaste helps our teeth shine, but what else can it clean? Here are five toothpaste cleaning hacks:
- Headlights
This is one of toothpaste’s secrets. Toothpaste can make your high beams shine brighter! If your headlights are polycarbonate or plastic, over time, they’re susceptible to oxidation, which can make headlights look foggy. A quick fix that won’t break the bank spread toothpaste evenly over the inside of each headlight. Take a damp cloth and gently rub in the paste to watch those lights shine! For a clean finish, rinse with water.
- Shoes
The soles of your muddy shoes could use some attention. To clean them, all you need is an old toothbrush and paste toothpaste – not gel toothpaste. Then apply the paste to the toothbrush as you usually would and scrub away at the soles for a few minutes. Wipe down with a damp cloth when you’re done!
- Diamonds
Scrub your diamond with warm water, toothpaste, and an old toothbrush.
Your diamond will shine but be careful not to get the paste on the setting, though. The paste can be too abrasive and taint the finish of your ring.
- Hair Dye
One of the most annoying this is getting your hair dyed, and your hairline also gets dyed. Once you finish dying your dyed hair, apply some toothpaste on a cotton ball and rub along the hairline until the dye disappears!
- Clothing
This trick works great on food and drink stains. Put paste toothpaste on the stain and rub the fabric vigorously. Then rinse with water. You may need to repeat this process a few times until the stain is gone.
