We are pleased to share that the Penn Mutual Board of Trustees just approved a $123 million dividend payout in 2022 to eligible policyholders. Dividends are a key measure of a mutual company’s performance. Penn Mutual is proud that its dividend history over the last 20 years remains one of the strongest and most consistent in the industry.
The interest rate component of the 2022 dividend scale for Penn Mutual whole life products sold since 2008 is 5.75%. The rate for older products varies. For dividend accumulations in 2022, the credited interest rate will remain at 3.5%.
Policyholders will receive dividends on their 2022 anniversary date based on the way they elected to receive them. We will have more resources available for you in early 2022.
