Everything’s so scary this year! What’s Halloween going to be like? Well, for New Jerseyans Halloween is still on! It’s important to plan early and make safer alternatives for celebrating. Outdoor activities are recommended instead of indoor parties and events.
Those who pan on trick-or-treating should limit their groups to only household members, try to
stay local, and limit the number of houses you stop at. Also, follow all public health recommendations, including social and physical distancing, wearing masks, and hand hygiene.For those who are handing out treats here are three recommended options:
-A good option would be to limit interactions and contact with trick-or-treaters, wear a mask and regularly wash hands.
-A better option would be to leave a bowl with treats on your porch or in a place where it can be easily accessed.
-The best option is to arrange individually packaged candy so that trick or treaters can grab and go without touching a shared bowl.
Murphy stated in a press conference. “We want to ensure that everyone has the chance to enjoy Halloween, but we also want to ensure that everyone does that safely and responsibly.”
Of course, anyone who has been exposed to COVID-19, are sick/symptomatic, or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 should not participate in Halloween activities.
