The hand-foot and mouth disease is caused by a virus called coxsackie virus.
Some symptoms include:
Fever and a sore throat
Ulcers or scores inside and around month
Rash or blisters on hands, feet or legs
Anyone can contract this disease but it’s more likely for children under the age of 10 to catch it. Your child can catch it with contact with someone who has it or from something that’s been in contact with the virus. It spreads very easy.
There is no treatment or vaccine for this. It usual goes away on its own between 7 to 10 days. However, your child is most contagious the first 7 days. The best way to prevent getting it is by washing yours and your child’s hands thoroughly.
