The first vaccine to protect against COVID-19 is now available through Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and a second vaccine is expected to receive EUA in the coming days. The COVID-19 vaccines will be 100% covered through in- and out-of-network doctors, hospitals, pharmacies and other health care professionals, as well as through vaccine administration sites.
Per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations, health care professionals and residents of long-term care facilities will have the first opportunity to be vaccinated.
