The CDC is recommending that people should have Thanksgiving outside to help combat the spread of the coronavirus.
They stated the safest ways to celebrate Thanksgiving this year to celebrate with just the people in your household. But if you do invite other guest or are invited somewhere outside of your home, they recommend that you practice social distancing, wash your hands, and wear a mask like normal.
The CDC suggest other tips:
- If you go to someone’s house, bring your own food, drinks, utensils, and cups.
- Avoid going into the kitchen or in the area when the food is being prepared and handled.
- Use single-use salad dressings and condiment packets.
- Use disposable food containers and plates.
- Keep windows open if you are celebrating indoor.
- Consider getting the flu shot before you travel.
