Employers Reporting Pharmacy Benefits Drug Cost Summary

pin up

The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (CAA) has endorsed a new prescription drug reporting mandate that requires group health plans and health insurers to give in information regarding the costs of prescription drugs and other health care services each year to the federal government. The Affiliated Physicians and Employers Master Trust’s TPA will be submitting the Pharmacy Benefit and Drug Cost (RxDC) Reporting on behalf of your clients for the filing years of 2020 and 2021, if your client was enrolled during that time.

The initial reports are due December 27, 2022, for reference years:

  • 2020 (containing 2019 and 2020 data)
  • 2021 (containing 2020 and 2021 data)

For 2022 and the coming years, the filing deadline will be June 1 of the following year. You will be responsible to make sure that you or your new carrier file for any period in which you were not enrolled with the Affiliated Physicians and Employers Master Trust.
