CVS announced it is waiving its home delivery fee for prescription medications “immediately,” according to a news release.
The waived fee is an effort to help people stay at home as much as possible per advice from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the company said in the release.
“The latest steps we’re taking will help ensure patients of all ages have every option available to them when it comes to filling prescriptions,” Troyen Brennan, executive vice president and chief medical officer for CVS Health, said in a statement. “As long as COVID-19 continues to be a threat, we’ll maintain a relentless focus on how best to serve our patients, members and customers.”
Aetna, which is a CVS company, is also waiving early refill limits on 30-day prescription maintenance medications through CVS Caremark.
